Thursday 11 April

We sent a message of 'good luck' to Horsmonden Football Club who contest the CUP FINAL against Penshurst Park tomorrow night (12th).  Received a very good note back thanking us and also for all our sponsorship and support in the two seasons since they have formed.  For those wanting details, the match will be played at Jockey Farm Stadium, Nellington Road, RUSTHALL TN4 8SH.  Kick off is 7pm.  We hope that many from our community will attend to cheer them on.   Should be back in time to celebrate at our Club bar by around 9pm in time to take part in the Treasure Chest!  (£160 available!!!).   Anyone wanting a lift to Rusthall call Kell on 01892 722162 -  also tell him if you have space in your car.

Welcome to a new Tax Year!  Good to have the lighter evenings even if it is a bit cold and showery.  Why not take a walk out Friday to your Club for a drink and friendly conversation.  At the same time 'take in' the village scene from our lovely War Memorial Garden.

Hard work by Carry and Carol and what a result!

Thursday 28 March

On reflection, March has been a very busy month at your Club and it is worth remembering that it's whole organistion and running is carried out by volunteers who relentlessly give their time and energy. So a huge THANK YOU to all involved in making this happen.  April looks to be a bit quieter but you never know!

With the Spring equinox upon us this week, we can look forward to the start of longer days and warmer weather.  We should all feel more energised too, so why not take advantage of some (or all!) of the forthcoming events at your club.  You can sign up or buy tickets from the club bar for all of the following events:

We begin this newsletter with the sad news that Brian Beadle passed away in Pembury hospital last week.  In the past Brian was a very active and lively member of our Club where he has many friends. Through a long illness he has been house bound but he retained a close interest in all our activities.  Our thoughts are with Joy and her family at this sad time. He is greatly missed.    Details of Brian's funeral will be available soon.
