Thursday 7 March

Big 6 Nations Rugby weekend coming up at your Club plus a lot of other things.  Scotland v Wales at 2pm on Saturdayfollowed by England v Italy at 4.30pm.  Then on Sunday at 2.45 pm it is Ireland v France.   Of course the 'Big Match' for most is the England game and they are favourites to win but this is 6 nations and you never know !  If Italy pull it off we are sure that every rugby follower will be pleased for their captain Sergio Pareise who has been on the losing side in 103 of his country's international matches. This will almost certainly be his last match at Twickenham- top rate sportsman and a rugby player of the highest standard gaining respect and admiration from all.

Congratulations to all of them and our best wishes in their endeavours to carry the Club forward.

Apologies for there being no newsletter last week but here is this week's a little early.

First, we promised you some details of the funeral arrangements for PAULINE RIDLEY.

It is to be held at Tunbridge Wells Crematorium on Tuesday 26th February at 2.30pm.  Family flowers only but donations, if desired, to the Donkey Sanctuary can be made through Sears Funeral Services, Church Road, Paddock Wood or at the Crematorium.  All who knew Pauline will be welcome to join the family at our Club for refreshments after the funeral.

We are very saddened to tell you that Pauline passed away in hospital late last week.
She was a very long standing member of our Club and a regular attendee at our Bingo sessions.    A friend of many and great company for all who knew her.  She was admired for the way in which she coped so bravely with her poor health.
Our thoughts are with John and his family at this sad time for them.
Many of you will want details of the funeral arrangements for Pauline and we will make these available to you as soon as we have them to hand.
