Bit of a hitch but we managed to 'screen' the first England World Cup football match.  It was all up and running by the 2nd half and Harry Kane's winning goal!  There will be more group matches for you – on Sunday (24th) at 1pmEngland v Panama and England v Belgium (the big one) on Thursday 28th at 7 pm.   No hitches from now on so come and swell the atmosphere in the comfort of your Club.  Not sure but we don't think there will be many Panamanian and Belgium supporters!

BIG – Summer Festival Weekend coming up but first we have to get through this one. Nothing stands still in Horsmonden!

So tonight your Club is open as usual for meeting friends and socialising over a drink. The Treasure Chest will be in operation.  John R was the lucky winner last week so it is back to 13 keys with still a worthwhile prize of £63 available.  Bit of fun – come and have a 'flutter'.

Earlier this week but such a lot going on to tell you about.  So please read on.
First though our thanks to  Nick , Bill and Pam for organising our enjoyable trip to The Dogs on Saturday. One or two returned smiling but most just happy enough to know that the 'Bookies' limousines were still on the road!

Apologies to anyone who turned up at the Green on Tuesday morning. Because of the appalling weather all day Monday it was decided the Green would simply be too soft and muddy for Morris and Maypole dancing.  It did go ahead , much to the enjoyment of the children and the small crowd who found out about the change to the School Playground.
Let us hope for better weather next year!!
