Earlier this week but such a lot going on to tell you about.  So please read on.
First though our thanks to  Nick , Bill and Pam for organising our enjoyable trip to The Dogs on Saturday. One or two returned smiling but most just happy enough to know that the 'Bookies' limousines were still on the road!

Apologies to anyone who turned up at the Green on Tuesday morning. Because of the appalling weather all day Monday it was decided the Green would simply be too soft and muddy for Morris and Maypole dancing.  It did go ahead , much to the enjoyment of the children and the small crowd who found out about the change to the School Playground.
Let us hope for better weather next year!!

Excellent feed back from our St George's Dinner last Saturday. Those lucky enough to have been there are full of compliments about the how much they enjoyed the event.  Well done and thanks to all those who played any part, large or small, in making the evening such a success.

Actually the whole of Saturday showed just how and why our Club is such a success.  When the worthy band of volunteers arrived to start setting at  8am. Pete and Simon were already hard at work doing their regular Saturday morning cleaning of the cellar, beer pipe system, bar restocking etc.  All Anthony's gear was in the kitchen ready for him to start work in the afternoon. Pete left Simon to it as he went to collect copious barrels of beer after a failed delivery.  Meanwhile the volunteers were beavering away putting up bunting, bringing in and setting up tables and chairs, laying the festive table. During this Lindsey and John arrived fresh from their visit to cash and carry with more stocks.  Amazingly by 9.15 am your Club had been transformed into a banqueting hall and ready for the evening!

Friday 20th April 2018

Your Club is open tonight!  With Martin and Stuart waiting for you and on you behind the bar and later Richard. The Treasure Chest will be in operation around 9.15 pm with 12 keys and a prize of around £100  waiting for a lucky some one.
Closed tomorrow night though as it will be packed with those attending our St George's Dinner.  Remember 7 for 7.30 pm and wear something patriotic if you can.

Thursday 12th April

Just over a month to the Royal Wedding!   What a day 19th May will be at your Club.  Very kindly our village Historical Society have moved the Archives Exhibition to a new date of Saturday 2nd June.  This means that we can now show the marriage of Prince Harry and Megan on our huge screen.  As an added extra we will also screen the FA Cup Final later that afternoon.  All that before the  Kindergarten Race Night in the evening.
