Horsmonden's Annual Summer Festival
Friday 7 - Sunday 9 June 2019

Our contribution to this fantastic annual weekend full of events kicks off 7pm Friday 7 June when our outside Club Bar on the Village Green opens for the weekend.  You will be warmly welcomed by our team of unpaid volunteers serving up the following specially sourced offerings from the outside Club Bar throughout the festival.

For those of you attending the themed dinner/dance on the Friday evening - take the hassle out of dragging wines & fizz with you and purchase from us as you arrive and throughout the evening!!

To start with some disappointing news - our village Kindergarten have had to cancel the Moroccan Dinner Evening at our Club this Saturday as sadly not enough tickets were sold.  There are no winners when this happens as we lose out on hosting a booked function, the Kindergarten get nothing for all their work in preparation and have to pay out a cancellation fee to the caterers and those who had bought tickets are left disappointed.  There are lessons to be learned and we will think of a different approach to these type of events given the Kindergarten need the funds these events are designed to help generate.

Really smashing St George's Dinner!!  What an evening. Thoroughly enjoyed by all who managed to get a ticket and attend.  Just amazing what we have going on in Horsmonden and at your Club.  Much hard work in putting such events on of course and our thanks to Billie, Lindsey & David in particular but also to all the others who assisted in so many ways.  Shame we can only cram in around 90 people – we hate it when some miss out.

Good FILM SHOW last Thursday.  Much enjoyed by 30+ members. Film selection is being worked on and there is still an envelope on the bar into which you can place your suggestions. Please make a point of using it.

Wednesday 17 April

A very HAPPY EASTER to all our members and their families. Some have pointed out that Easter is not just about Eggs, Bunnies and Bonnets and the three crosses that have appeared on the Green are a reminder to all of us.   For those who want to, there is a short Good Friday Service on the Green at 10.30 am - followed by Easter Sunday Services full of Joy. (see St Margaret's web site for details  Meanwhile enjoy your Easter Eggs!
