'Bikers Night' last Saturday was good fun but, in spite of many absentees, Denise managed to raise over £415 for the Royal Marsden Hospital Charity. Well done to her and Brian for all their hard work and thanks to all our members who supported this event. A message from them to say 'a huge thanks to Lindsey, our bar staff and all at our Club who helped'

Bitterly cold last Thursday and we had the Village Pantomime to contend with but still a reasonable turn out for our monthly film show.  Forest Gump this time- they don't come much better than that and it seems that the 'rugby screening ' has improved the quality of viewing.

And so to this week.  TOMORROW (23rd) it is the most important night of our year.  It is our AGM!!!!!Starting at 7.30 pm.  Important that you should be there.  Show your support for all we are doing, thank those who give so much, celebrate our successes, plan  ahead for more success.

We have two 'Charity ' Quiz Nights at your Club during March. Get your team together or be prepared to quiz with others for the first which is on Saturday 10th March.  Organised and run by Harry Mills (son of Andrew and Kate of Heath Stores fame and is the young man who blows the bugle for us at Remembrance time)- he is off to Cambodia as part of a charity expedition. They will take the funds raised with them right to where they are needed.  So we ask for your support.  It is £10 per head to take part. Teams of 5-8 or mix in with others. Cambodian traditional food is in the ticket price.  Interesting quiz in prospect.  (Question 1 will probably be 'what is today's Special Offer at Heath Stores'!)
Tickets available from Heath Stores or call Harry-  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
The second Quiz will be on Saturday 24th March is for  Hands of Compassion. More detail of that soon.

The booking form for our trip to The Dogsis on the bar.  The bus is filling up fast for this excellent value evening out doing something
different. Amazing value and if you happen to win with your Free Bet even better!

This idea was put out at the last Men's Breakfast.  Based on a similar group in the village of Cudham  where their 'Old Gits' go for occasional interesting days out. That term does not seem right for the gentlemen of Horsmonden.  Perhaps Old Contemptables or Old Codgers.  The first outing will be a guided tour of some Historic London pubs.  It will be on a weekday and travel by train. If you are interested in this sort of thing call Kell -01892 722162 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Pleased to tell you that the Battlefields Tour is now fully subscribed but we are compiling a waiting list if you still want to go.
On that subject plans are being made to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War in our village in November.  Perhaps we will need a small group to organise this?  If you have ideas or can help -again call Kell on the above numbers.

Final note:- Don't forget the Village Welcome Packs.  Make sure the people who move into properties near you get one.  Patrick Smyth will be pleased to supply and you can take it and introduce yourself to newcomers – tell them about our Club of course!

See you at the A G M – tomorrow 7.30pm

Best regards
