No rugby this weekend but last Saturday brought a big crowd to watch the matches on the big BIG screen.  The Irish were happy with their win but your President (in tartan hat) was the only smiling face at the end !Mind you, he is off to Paris supporting England next week!
Next Saturday (10th) there will be 6 NATIONS RUGBY -Ireland v Scotland (2.15) and France England (4.45) and on Sunday Wales v Italy (3pm).  Come along and enjoy the experience!!

Well done to our Chairperson Lindsey!  Conducted her first AGM in great style.  For those who were not able to be there, she paid big thanks to Carry Smyth and Dave Bell who have stood down from committee duties after long years of service. We welcomed John Edmonds- Bell, Alison Scott and David Watson as newly elected committee members.  Good to hear that your Club is in good fettle and in good hands.  Minutes of the AGM are posted on the Notice Board and on the club website.

ST GEORGES NIGHT DINNER tickets go on sale on Sunday (4th) lunchtime from the bar.  Cheque or cash with order (£22.50 each- two per member).  If you can't be there and want tickets, you can try again later or contact Carry (taking over from Denis while he is not available) on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..   Tickets are bound to go quickly so make sure you secure yours!

Harry Mills QUIZ NIGHT is next Saturday evening (10th).  Room for more teams so PLEASE book yourselves in at Heath Stores (0r reply to this mail and we will do it for you).  £10 per person entry which includes a Cambodian supper!  That because it is a fund raising event for Harry's charity trip to Cambodia.  Make up a team of 8 maximum or just book in yourself and be put with new friends. Tip- probably best to read up about Cambodia!

Always remember, and most of you do, that your Club is run by volunteers.  Please help our bar staff by bringing empty glasses back to the bar and perhaps borrow a cloth to wipe your table before leaving your Club.  Also loose change is an increasing problem try and help by using what you have in your pocket. Every little helps!

Tonight it is TREASURE CHEST time.  Back to 13 keys after David W's big win last week.  £75 ready for the person choosing the right key.  On the bar an all male line up of Dave B, Roger and Trevor. Come along and keep them busy. Saturday is Race Night with myself and Nick heading the bar and on Sunday Ken V then Ann and Tim to keep your glasses topped up mid all the conversations.

So a 'super busy' day at your Club next Saturday (10th).  Starts with Mens Breakfast and finishes with Harry's Quiz Night with 6 Nations Rugby in between!!!

PS- another charity Quiz Night coming up on Saturday 24th March for Hands of Compassion.  Details next week but tickets are already available from the bar (I think!)

Best regards
