Usual Friday night at your Club tonight.  Treasure Chest operating with 12 keys and a possible £123 to be won.  Games to be played people to chat to and Bill, Jenny and Martin behind the bar to welcome you. Tomorrow is the culmination of a great rugby 6 Nations Competition.  Not quite the 'decider' we had hoped for (thanks to our lads not performing in Paris) but 3 great games for you to view on our HUGE screen.  Bar will open at noon. First match Italy v Scotland at 12.30 followed by England v Ireland at 2.45 and Wales v France at 5 pm.  Will England at last play to their potential or will Ireland get the Grand Slam?  Come along and see AND take advantage of our St Patrick's Day/ Rugby 'Happy Hours' (noon- 7pm) with Guinness and ALL draught beers at £2.50 a pint!

Men's Breakfast last Saturday was a huge success.  Many thanks to David J for feeding and making 56 people happy!  The Pickering Drop in Cancer charity of Tunbridge Wells benefited by some £420 due to the generosity of those attending.   NOTE – next breakfast Saturday 28th April(you must book so look for the mail- if you are not on the list tell us!)

Next Saturday (24th) there is a QUIZ NIGHT in aid of Hands of Compassion, a charity enhancing the lives of youngsters in Zambia.  Kate and Caroline are involved in this.  Space for teams STILL available and singles or small numbers welcome.  Get your ticket NOW from our bar or from Heath Stores.  It deserves your support.

A BIG week ahead for History and Nostalgia.
On Wednesday our Historical society are holding their AGM at your Club. They begin with a Fish and chip supper followed by a little business and then ex President Alan will be showing his film of HORSMONDEN in the 1950s.  All are welcome – it starts at 7 with the supper served at 7.30 but you MUST book this with – This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  We guess the film to be at about 8.30 pm

Then On THURSDAY we have Nostalgia Day orchestrated by the Horsmonden Memories and Nostalgia Club.  Open to all from 2pm to 5pm.All the host of material already on the Nostalgia face book will be available to view and your big chance to add to it.  Bring along simply anything you might feel is of interest from by-gone days it will be copied, recorded or photographed and put into an archive system so that it will be there for all to see now and in the future!
We guess there will also be a lot of reunions and reminiscing over a cup of tea and a cake!

We have a 'full house' booked for our St George's Dinner on 21st April which is very good but there is a lot of regret that we simply can't accommodate all who want to go – leaving some disappointed.  We do have a waiting list and gaps do arise so if you still want to come make sure that you are on it.

We need a small group of people to help plan and organise our village 'celebration' of the centenary of the ending of the First World War in November 1918.  It will be in addition (perhaps) to our annual Wreath Laying Service and will involved a huge Beacon  on The Green – but what else?   That is what we will be working on.  Please give this thought and perhaps be part of the group.  Contact Kell (01892722162).
