The bar volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the evening and at the end of the event a host of folk helped clear everything away putting your Club back to normal while others attacked the mountain of glasses to be washed – by midnight you would have thought it had never happened!
So THANK YOU to all concerned – that is what breeds success.
It is said “ A community thrives on the dedication and resilience of unsung heroes”  We certainly have them but could always do with more!!!

Enough of that - back to tonight.  Usual Friday night with the Treasure Chestin operation.  11 keys left and a prize of around £130 at stake.  Be good to see people taking advantage of the  all we have to offer.  The Snooker table is usually pretty busy, some table tennis is played but rarely a dart thrown.  Drinking and socialising seems to do OK – so that IS good!

Tomorrow morning it is Men's Breakfast – you can call Kell 01892 722162 to see if there is room for you if you want to come.  Folk from the Paddock Wood FoodStoreHouse will be telling us about the good work they are doing and we ask all those attending (and those who are not!) to make sure their food collection box is overflowing. If it is – there are others at Heath Stores and the Methodist Church hall

Have you got a coat?  If so can you check it is yours!  A ladies black coat was mistakenly taken home by someone on Saturday night and we would like to get it back to it's rightful owner.

This time next week many will be getting ready for our trip to The Dogs (5th May).  Always possible that there is a last minute 'drop out' so if you want to go, ask Bill Payne to put you on the waiting list.  For those going - a tip!  -Ask Richard he has been studying the form.

Tuesday is MayDay -the first day of Summer.  Please be aware that your local Weald of Kent Morris side will be 'rising up the Spirits to make the crops grow' at 5.30 am outside the Star and Eagle at the top of Goudhurst village.  If you don't fancy that you can join them on our village Green at 8.30 am when they will be joined by children from our school dancing around their May Pole. Watch out for that horse! Lovely English, Kentish, Horsmondenish scene.  Make a point of being there.

The Club is open tomorrow night as usual but Jackie's BIG birthday will also be celebrated.
Also the normal Sunday lunch time scene – a good time and place to meet up with your friends – if it is fine sit outside and admire our memorial garden and village Green.
'Welcome in the Summer!'
