By the time you read this our Battlefields Tourists will be well on their way to Amiens with your wishes for an interesting and enjoyable trip.  They return on Friday evening just in time to buy their Treasure Chest tickets .  The prize back to £63 this week as John R chose the right key last Friday. Rumour has it that his winnings did not last long on Saturday night at the Dogs!!!

On Saturday (12th) there is a celebration Tea Party for Dot Parsons in our Club.  We wish her a Happy Birthday  and hope she has a very enjoyable day with her family and friends.   In the evening it is HARRY'S QUIZ
Night
raising funds for his charity trip to Cambodia. A worthy cause for this young Horsmondenite. Still room for teams or individuals.  Get your tickets from Heath Stores or perhaps on the night.  The former best as catering of Cambodian Fish Supper is included in the ticket price of £10 and they need to have some idea how many fish to catch. (there is a food option available)
Let us hope we have a full house.  That is Saturday 12th--7 for 7.30 pm.

On Thursday next (17th) we hold our monthly Film Show.  This time it is
Whale Rider described as  charming and critical movie of 2003.  Set in the beautiful scenery of New Zealand it is about a young girl who strives to be a Maori clan chief.  Little know but highly rated film.  Starts at 7.30 with the bar open from 7 pm.

Friday 18th is the second Nostalgia Day. Your Club open to all and loads of reunions of 'evergreen' Horsmonden folk bringing with them all sorts of things from the old days.  Opens at 2pm until 5 pm.  Promises to be another amazing day.  No matter if you are born or bred in Horsmonden or just an interested 'new comer' you will be welcome!

In the evening it is Wine Tasting time – selecting wines for the Summer Festival. A mere £2 for members to join in (£5 for guests) payable on the night. Discerning 'blind' tasting with biscuits and cheese to dull your taste buds and stop you getting (blind) drunk!

That is the start of a busy weekend at your Club as the 19th is of course SUPER SATURDAY.   You will all know that is ROYAL WEDDING DAY.  Club opens at 11 am and you can watch the whole event on our HUGE screen. Our wonderful WI are supplying first class refreshments throughout and the bar will, of course, be open.  Donations for refreshments to charity.
Following celebrating that, you can then see the FA Cup Final in the comfort of your Club.  Should be a great atmosphere but will it be better than the 6 Nations?
As soon as that is over our Club will undergo a quick change as all is rearranged for a NIGHT at the RACES.  Yes- the Kindergarten Race Night.  First Race 8 pm.  Tickets from the Kindergarten or Lauren Butler (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) are £12 and include 'hot dinner'.  You can bid for a Pudding / Desert with your winnings!

So that is Super Saturday coming up- don't miss it!!

We are asked to tell you that on the Sunday of the HORSMONDEN SUMMER FESTIVAL there will again be a gathering of veteran and classic cars and other vehicles. It gets bigger each year!  Help swell the numbers by bringing your cherished vehicle (if you have one) or getting your friends , neighbours – who might have an 'out of the ordinary' motor which is their pride and joy- to bring it along and show it off. More detail, if needed, from Martin  (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
