On Saturday our village Historical Society take over our Club for the day holding their annual Archive Exhibition. Old documents, scrapbooks, photographs, pictures and all sorts of memorabilia.  Only material of interest will be on display.  Come and see, anytime from 9 am to 3pm.  We are sure there will be tea available to help you browse.

The Royal Wedding is over but what a great place it was to watch it on our BIG SCREEN.  Well done to all who contributed and special thanks to the Horsmonden WI for the lovely teas.  They get better and better. More screening (for some) to look forward to!  We will be showing all the England games at the Football World Cup starting 18 June v Tunisia. Let us hope our lads get to the final!!!

NOW- the HORSMONDEN SUMMER FESTIVAL !!!!  (8th- 10th  June) If you don't know about it you can get all the details from the new HoVEC website,in the Parish News, from the posters etc.  There is no excuse for not knowing all that is going on from Friday evening right through to late Sunday afternoon.  Continual fun all the way and most of it Free of Charge.

Your Club is running the bars throughout the whole weekend manned by our great group of volunteers. ALSO the Club bar will be open for those wanting a bit of respite from the music and merrymaking.
Do nothing else – just attend the Green and take advantage of all that is going on. This is a time for families and friends to cast away their cares!
One request – More Veteran/Classic/Interesting/Unusual vehicles are wanted for the Sunday afternoon.  If you have one bring it along. If you don't persuade your neighbour or friend who does to come and show it off.  Good turn out last year but will be better this!

A couple of forward dates for you to note.
The next Men's Breakfast will be held at our Club on Saturday 23rd- notices going out soon to those on the list- if you are not contact Stuart on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. he will book you in.

Remember Operalele ?  They are the duo who performed amazing well at out St Georges Night Dinner.  They will be performing at Headcorn Parish Church on Saturday 16 June (8pm) along with a George Formby 'tributer.'  A must for all our Village aspiring Ukulele players and those who missed this act at our Club.

Final plea – if you are at a loose end at any time from Thursday evening until Sunday evening of the Festival weekend – just pitch up at the Green – find someone who is working away and HELP.  Many hands make light work !!!!
