So to next weekend. (6th and 7th OctoberAutumn Festival, Scarecrows, Nostalgia, Harvest Festival and Static bike Racingall rolled together!   Saturday (6th) is a big day for Nostalgia in your Club and out on the Green.  Hop picking theme with Hop bins and bines.  News of the Hop Pickers Line Heritage Trail and simply loads of stuff from bygone days.  Teas served in our Club and the bar will be open.
On the Green Scarecrows everywhere!  Bring yours along to the Green by 9am- judging in various categories this year. Unusual animals to pat and pet. Wandering Minstrels.  BBQ with 'hop pickers sausages. A 'scarecrow trail' that will take you on a hunt for knowledge around Sprivers.  YES a hive of interesting activity for you and your family.
That all finishes around 5 pm when your Club will be cleared and made ready for an evening of Static Bike Racing.  Great fun to watch  and even better to join in!!   This is a fund raiser for the Kindergarten and is crazy.  Good way to spend an evening with your friends, having a drink, relaxing until someone gets you to take part !!   Then the laughter will increase!!!
On Sunday (7th) the fun continues!   On the Green and around Sprivers but it is also Harvest Festival when we give thanks for our food and farmers.
For those fit to do it -a walk to St Margaret's , through lovely orchards and scenery,to our wonderful old church  (the Tower will be open!!- have you seen the view?) Walk starts at 9.30 am on the Green.   You arrive at our church , the bells will be ringing to welcome you and coffee and cakes will await you even if you come by car.  A short Harvest Service with the Village Choir to helping you sing .  Then you can walk or drive back to the Green not being able to resist a well earned drink in your Club and telling all how much you enjoyed the walk.

Keep up the training for your turn on the Static Bike !

Harvest! -remember you reap what you sow. So keep sowing!
