Men's Breakfast this Saturday(26th).  Might be the odd place available so, if you want to go, be quick and call Tim on 722537.  Sure he will do his best to fit you in to join around the other 50 or so tucking into a hearty full 'English'

The list is up! At the bar for our Day at the RacesSaturday 11th May is the date and ,those lucky enough to get a seat on the bus, will enjoy a great day at Lingfield.  A bargain £32.50 covers the coach fare and the entrance to the course.  Leaving the Green at 10 am  and returning you at around 6.30pm clutching your winnings or handkerchief.  Can't get to the bar soon?   Then call Bill (724180) or Nick (725301) and they will make arrangements for you.
First time we have done this and already proving popular.

Now all rugby fans and those who just enjoy a 'sporting atmosphere'-it is getting near kick off time for the 6 Nations Rugby !  Starts on Friday week (1st Feb) with the France v Wales game at 8 pm.  Then back to back games on Saturday with Scotland v Italy at 2 pmand then 'the big one' at 4.45- Ireland v England.  Get in the mood and wear your (or someone else's) national colours and enjoy these huge sporting occasions on our BIG Screen.  The bar will be open ,of course , with our happy volunteers just waiting to serve you!
Have not heard but presume the Treasure Chest will be operating as usual that Friday night. For those who don't know, it is a raffle with a difference. The winner gets £20 and a chance to choose the key which opens the Treasure Chest.  It starts with 13 keys and reduces each week until the right one is chosen.   The money in the Chest goes up each week by the amount taken less £20.   At present there is £135 waiting for you in the chest and just 11 keys from which to make your selection. ( If it is not won this Friday – so maybe more or maybe less)

We are asked to let you know that there is a big Charity Fund Raising Night coming up organised by some of our members.  In aid of two closely aligned charities-  DEMELZA HOUSE (Kent Children's Hospice) and CHERISHED MEMORIES ( for families who have children with limited life expectancy).   It features  OPERA-LELE (remember them from our St Georges Night last year?) And the simply amazing Andy Eastwood the renowned international musician and entertainer. Wonderful that we can get acts of this quality together in our village.   It is on Friday 8thMarch and the tickets are £15 and going fast.  Supported by your Club (actually we support all good things in our village) – this will be in the Village Hall. Tickets and enquiries to This email address is being protected from spambots.
